Crafters For Saoirse

Please support my crafting challenge for Saoirse Domestic Violence Services

I'm raising funds for Saoirse Domestic Violence Services. This cause matters deeply to me – and I’d be so grateful if you could donate.

Saoirse is a charity close to my heart that helps women and children escape domestic violence.

All funds raised support Saoirse's life-saving and life-changing services – including refuge accommodation, 24/7 helpline, counselling, and children's services.

I hope you can help me by donating whatever you can. Thank you for supporting me and supporting Saoirse.

My updates

Thank you to my donors!

Saturday 30th May
24hrs completed!🧡 I built up 24hrs of crafting, my craft of choice being embroidering on a jacket I had started working on this jacket many moons ago and as soon as I saw the challenge I knew what I wanted to do! It was great getting to craft but it was an even greater pleasure getting to raise funds for Saoirse's vital services. I thank everyone who was able to contribute! Thanks so much! Nicole🧡

Needles and thread at the ready

Friday 29th May
Hello all! Me again to give an update on my progress after hitting the 18 hour mark! Time to settle in for the final stretch, I am truly blown away by how much has been donated! I will try and get a decent amount done this evening but we might need to wrap up and have the final push on the 30th! Stay tuned 🧡

Stitching across the country

Sunday 17th May
Coach journeys become a lot more enjoyable when you get to embroider. Quick trip out to the west this weekend meant the jacket came for the journey. It got to see the sights of Clare, Limerick and Kildare albeit plonked in my lap, but I say it counts!

3 and a half hour progress

Friday 15th May
Thank you so much for all the donations received so far! It is truly astounding. My crafting challenge involves embroidering a jacket I began working on in 2018. As soon as I saw the fundraiser for Saoirse domestic violence services I knew what I wanted to do especially since Orange is their signature colour. Here is the progress so far, I will post more pictures as I go. Thank you again!

Let's get crafting!

Monday 11th May
Hi all! I am taking part in Crafters for Saoirse this May. This is a great opportunity to do what I love, embroidery, all while raising funds for a very important charity. I will be working on creating some wearable art so follow along with me as I update you on my progress! This challenge can be done over 24hrs but I am hoping to cumulatively build up to 24hrs by the 30th of May. Please donate what you can as every euro supports life-saving services. All the best, Nicole.
