Thursday 28th May The Grand Finale: Hours 18–24 of the Craftathon!We made it! Welcome to the fourth and final Monday of our 24-hour craftathon. I cannot believe we have officially reached the finish line. Over the last three weeks, we built the bright, colorful body of our hexagon cardigan and cleared out our yarn leftovers with some cute book sleeves, and made a lovely baby blanket.
For Hours 18 through 24, it was time for the grand finale. To perfectly match our vibrant "Hexi-Cardi," I spent this final 6-hour block making matching multi-colored bandanas!
Today's Creative Pivot: The Matching Accessories
I love a coordinated look, and these triangle bandanas are the ultimate accessory to wear with a handmade sweater. Using the same bright pinks, teals, yellows, and purples from the cardigan body, I set to work to create a matching set.
Here is how the final hours of our marathon played out:
Hours 18–20: Designing the Bandanas
I started the morning by working on the bandanas. They are made by crocheting a triangle shape, starting small and growing outward. Just like the cardigan, I used variagated yarn to create that beautiful, bright rainbow pattern. They worked up so fast and look incredibly cute!
Hours 21–22: The Connecting Thread
Once the bandanas were finished, it was time to bring the whole collection together. Remember that bright white yarn we’ve been saving? This is where it shines! I used the crisp white yarn to put a clean border around some of the bandanas, and I used it to finish the edges of our cardigan.
Hours 23–24: The Final Reveal & Victory Lap
The last two hours were all about the finishing touches. I wove in the very last ends, gave everything a good steam, and tried on the complete outfit. Seeing the multi-colored cardigan paired with the matching bandana is absolutely magical. The white border acts like a frame, tying the whole colorful set together perfectly.
The 24-Hour Journey is Complete!
We have officially hit 24 hours of crafting! Breaking this marathon up over four Mondays was the best way to keep the project fun and stress-free. We started with balls of yarn and ended up with a gorgeous cardigan, a collection of book sleeves, and matching bandanas and a blanket.

Hours 12-18: booksleeves
Thursday 28th May Monday Number Three: Hours 12–18 of the Craftathon!Welcome back to week three! We are officially past the halfway mark of our 4-week challenge. After taking a full week to rest, I was so excited to sit down today for Hours 12 through 18.
While the main plan for this week was to jump right into bandanas, I actually decided to take a little detour during this block. I had a mountain of beautiful, leftover colorful yarn, and I couldn't let it go to waste.
So, today's 6-hour session became an absolute explosion of colorful book sleeves!
Today's Shift: Using Up Every Scrap
Book sleeves are one of my absolute favorite things to make. They are quick, practical, and the perfect way to use up leftover yarn scraps. Since I have a lot of scrap variagated yarn, these book sleeves turned out incredibly vibrant.
Here is how today's stitching session went down:
Hours 12–14: The Assembly Line
I started by sorting my leftover yarn by color and yarn weight. Once I had my piles ready, I went into full production mode! I crocheted simple, sturdy rectangles using a pattern by phoebes creations. Because these are smaller projects, it was so satisfying to finish a whole item in just an hour or two.
Hours 15–16: Mixing and Matching
For the next couple of hours, I started mixing the leftover colors together. I made striped sleeves, color-blocked sleeves, and some wild multi-colored ones that match the vibe perfectly. Every single one is completely unique. If you have a massive book collection like I do, you can never have too many of these to protect your pages!
Hours 17–18: The Finishing Touches
I spent the last two hours weaving in all those loose ends. By the time Hour 18 wrapped up, I had a beautiful, bright rainbow stack of finished book sleeves sitting on my desk.

Hours 6-12 the hexi cardigan
Thursday 28th May Monday Number Two: Hours 6–12 of the Craftathon!Welcome back to week two of our broken-up 24-hour craftathon! Honestly, splitting this marathon over four Mondays is the best decision I’ve ever made. I got to have a refresh, and I came into today with fresh eyes, fresh hands, and a brand-new burst of energy.
Today I tackled Hours 6 through 12, and the multi-colored hexagon cardigan (the "Hexi-Cardi") was born. The colorful body is officially finished, and I will finish the border of white ribbing in the evening outside crafting hours
Today's Game Plan: Growing the Rainbow
Our main goal for this second Monday block was to get the colorful parts of the cardigan completely done. Because I am using a variagated mix of bright pinks, teals, and purples, it works up quickly by naturally mixing the flow of colours.
Here is how today's 6-hour stitching session broke down:
The Morning Shift (Hours 6–8): starting the hexi shape
I started today by growing our two giant hexagons. The big challenge here was making sure no two identical colors were sitting right next to each other.
The Turning Point (Hours 9–10): The Magic Fold
By hour 9, the hexagons were finally big enough. The absolute best part about a hexagon cardigan is that you start with flat shapes, but when you fold them in half, they instantly look like the two sides of a sweater. Folding them and seeing all those bright colors line up perfectly is amazing
The Afternoon Stretch (Hours 11–12): Joining the Back
I spent the last two hours of today's block stitching the two halves together down the center back seam. Seeing the colorful rows meet in the middle was incredibly satisfying. To finish out hour 12, I packed away all the leftover colored scraps and lined up my balls of bright white yarn so they are ready to go for this evening.
Where It Stands Now: Right now, the cardigan is a beautiful, loud explosion of pastel colors. It looks fantastic. Later, we start adding the white border all around the edges. That white yarn is going to act like a frame on a picture—it will tone down the craziness, make the colors pop, and give the whole cardigan a clean, finished look.

Saturday 2nd May - Finding My Strength: Why I’m FundraisingHi everyone! I’m so glad you’re here. I am starting this fundraising campaign because supporting survivors of domestic violence is something incredibly close to my heart.
- My Journey
I didn’t always have the peaceful life I have now. Growing up, my home was a place of violence and fear. It was a very difficult way to start my life, but things began to change when I entered foster care. That time in my life was a turning point—it gave me the safety and the space I needed to start healing from the things I had been through.
- What Keeps Me Grounded
Healing isn't a one-time event; it’s something I work on every day. I’ve found so much joy and peace in the simple things. If you know me, you know I absolutely love crochet. There’s something so calming about creating something beautiful stitch by stitch.
I’m also a huge cat lover! My cats are a constant source of comfort and tiny, furry reminders of how good life can be.
